Play with Grace, LLC

Carmelina Mosher, MA, Director of Play with Grace, and Hamden resident. Artist, writer, therapist, teacher, she has worked with individuals in private therapy and groups for over 25 years. She has focused her attention on the theater arts for persons with special needs because she believes the extensive opportunities for social interaction will lead to substantial personal growth for all participants. Widespread interest in Expressive Drama led to the inception of Play with Grace. Carmelina has a gift for bringing out the creative genius in others.

Jarrod Law, Director of Play with Grace, and Hamden resident. A non-verbal artist/writer with autism whose mission is to empower those with autism and to bring to the community a greater awareness of the (often "hidden") talents of those with disability. Though Jarrod can express himself to a limited degree with sign language, he primarily relies on FC (typing with the physical hand support of a partner) to share his thoughts. Jarrod, who clearly understands the needs of the population we are serving, has assisted greatly in the development of this program, with both his ideas and his talents in writing and art. His strong conviction and unwavering commitment is for the arts to provide an access for persons with autism to lead more independent, meaningful and joyful lives.

Dianne Pacl, Director of Play with Grace, and Orange resident. Facilitator and vocational coach to Jarrod Law for 20 years; freelance graphic designer and marketing professional for 25 years. Dianne’s professional relationship with Jarrod Law has been focused on personal and professional growth through creative collaboration. The businesses and projects they have undertaken together (from greeting cards and books to small arts businesses) have confirmed that the arts unify people and create strong community. Play with Grace was the perfect vehicle to utilize all of Dianne’s talents, passions, energy.
